Mockingjay

Any Hunger Games fans out there waiting with bated breath for the final book in the trilogy? I came to the party late, and am only just now finishing Catching Fire. Don't like it as much as the first one, but I'm curious to see what the fate of these characters will be.

I'll support my local indy kid's bookstore and pick it up tomorrow. So who's looking forward to this release?

I'm a fan. I'm not a crazy fan, but still a fan. :) And I agree about Catching Fire--I didn't enjoy it as much as Hunger Games, but I still enjoyed it. And I'm looking forward to seeing how it's all wrapped up.

People all over are speculating on how everything gets resolved, but I honestly have no clue. It could go anywhere, and that's what's keeping me so interested. :)

p.s. Are you going to Prairie Writer's Day this year?

Hi Tabitha!

I am such a bad cyber-writer-friend!

My wife and I left Chicago!

I still can't believe it sometimes, but here we are in Baltimore.

*Crickets*

Yes, Baltimore, Maryland.

Scroll down and you'll see a post about our move.

I've been meaning to get more involved with the local SCBWI chapter here. All of their events are way outside the city. Maybe I can be the City Rep.

Anyway, I read your great news about landing an agent. I wish you a quick sale and lots of success!

Thanks for dropping by again.

Hi Ron. Now I liked the second book better than the first. Funny eh? Hope all is well with you!

I've been itching for it ever since I finished the last page of Catching Fire!

Lucky you that you don't have to wait months to read Mockingjay after reading Catching Fire.
I was late to the game and read Hunger Games and Catching Fire back to back in the spring. I am very anxious to see how this trilogy ends!

Wow! It's been hard for me to get out into the blogosphere lately, but I didn't realize I'd missed so much! We'll miss you at PWD this year. :)

Hi Tabitha,

Yes, I will miss PWD, but in consolation, in a few weeks, Baltimore is hosting the Baltimore Book Festioval with a lot of great writers:
Holly Black, M.T. Anderson, Justine Larabesiter, Carrie Ryan and a slew of others, so I'm really looking forward to it.

I'm also about to query my YA fantasy. Hoping to score the big agent!
